Solution Overview

ePresence is an industry leading webcasting solution, specifically designed for the delivery of synchronized, rich media presentations online.

It consists of two major components:

• ePresence Capture enables multiple media sources (e.g. video, audio, screen) to be easily recorded together;
• ePresence Server then delivers the synchronized content to viewers, as a live and/or on-demand webcast.

How is content captured?

ePresence Capture

The Capture unit is typically located in the room where the presentation is recorded. It takes in the feeds from the Audio/Video setup (e.g. cameras and microphones) and Presentation Source (e.g. laptop, document camera, projector), then delivers the synchronized content to the ePresence Server for live and on-demand distribution.

ePresence Capture is available in three configurations: Capture Station, Capture Software, and Web Capture. The capture components appropriate for a particular organization depend primarily on the anticipated production scenario.

1. Capture Station

Complete hardware and software solution designed for deployment in pre-equipped rooms or on a media cart.

2. Capture Software

Optimized for mobile production, this software can be installed on a Windows laptop or PC to travel with and capture offsite events.

3. Web Capture

This solution gives the remote presenter an opportunity to broadcast a talk using just a Flash-enabled web browser and Internet connection (e.g. from an office or off-site).

How is content distributed?

ePresence Server

The ePresence Server provides a web interface for webcast viewers and administrators, while also acting as a media content management system and live event calendar on the web. ePresence Server is available in two configurations:

• Hosting Subscription, installed on ePresence's cloud computing infrastructure, or:
• Server Software, installed on the customer's own server infrastructure.

1. Hosting Subscriptions

ePresence Hosting, deployed on a cloud computing infrastructure, is massively scalable and often the easiest way to get started with ePresence. Subscriptions vary based on storage and anticipated bandwidth usage. Customers may upgrade or downgrade hosting packages at any time if their needs change.

2. Server Software

Alternatively, Server Software licenses are available for deployments that require the ePresence Server to be installed on the customer's own server infrastructure. This is an excellent option for customers that need complete control over the deployment, and have the hardware, bandwidth, and staff necessary to install and manage their own server(s).

What types of support are available?

ePresence Support

ePresence support packages include 1 year of technical support / training coverage, plus free software upgrades. The support package purchased is a function of the size of the deployment and the customer's need for immediate access to the ePresence support team.
