Ira Fuchs, Vice President of the Mellon Foundation, discusses the state of open source software, its promise in higher education, and the obstacles to realizing its potential. This lecture was captured with ePresence in 2006 by the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Toronto. This is an example of the most common usage of ePresence, with streaming video synchronized with a presenter's slides.

This is a software demo of integrating ePresence with Moodle, an open source course management system (CMS). This presentation demonstrates how ePresence can be used as a tool to capture screencasts and software demos, using Flash-based screen capture technology, and also how easy it is to integrate ePresence presentations into course management systems.
